Charter of Crowns
Privacy Policy
Last updated: 4 November 2026
This policy explains what personal information the Charter of Crowns website (charterofcrowns.com) collects, why, and what you can do about it. The website and its newsletter are run by Michael Tulp, trading as Tulp Entertainment, the independent studio in Israel that makes Charter of Crowns ("we", "us"), who is responsible for the information described here. You can reach us at contact@charterofcrowns.com.
The short version
- The website has no accounts, no advertising, no analytics and no tracking cookies.
- Like any website, it receives technical data such as your IP address when it delivers a page. Apart from that, we only receive personal information when you choose to send it to us - by email, or by signing up for the newsletter.
- Giving us personal information is voluntary.
Information we collect, and why
Email you send us. If you write to contact@charterofcrowns.com, we receive your address, your message and anything you attach. We use it only to reply to you and to handle your request.
The newsletter. If you sign up on the homepage, your email address goes to Brevo, the service that keeps our mailing list, together with the time of sign-up and the technical details Brevo records to prove your consent (such as your IP address). We first send you an email with a link to confirm; you join the list only after you click it. We use your address only to send you news, updates and offers about Charter of Crowns. Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link, and you can also write to us to be removed.
Opens and clicks. Only if you tick the optional box when you sign up, Brevo records whether you opened each newsletter and which links in it you clicked, so we can see what readers find useful. If you do not tick it, we do not measure this for you. You can withdraw this consent at any time with the link at the bottom of every newsletter, or by writing to us.
Technical data. When you visit, our host Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address, your browser type and the pages requested, to deliver the pages and keep the website running and secure. A page load contacts no other service: the fonts are served from this website. We do not use this data to identify you.
Is it required?
You are under no legal obligation to give us any personal information. Writing to us and joining the newsletter are your choice. If you do not give us your email address, the only consequence is that we cannot reply to you, or that you will not receive the newsletter.
Legal bases
Where the EU or UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies, we rely on: your consent for the newsletter, which you can withdraw at any time with the unsubscribe link, and your separate consent for measuring opens and clicks (withdrawing either does not affect what was done before); our legitimate interest in answering the messages you send us; our legitimate interest in running a secure website, for the technical data; and our legitimate interest in being able to show that you joined or left the newsletter, for the record of your sign-up and unsubscribe.
Services we use
- Hosting: the website is served by Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc.), which delivers its pages and may keep the technical data described above to run and protect the service. Cloudflare's privacy policy applies.
- Newsletter: the mailing list is kept and the newsletter is sent by Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, France). Brevo's privacy policy applies to how it handles the list for us.
- Email: mail to our address is received through Cloudflare Email Routing and kept in a Gmail inbox provided by Google; our replies are sent through Brevo. Google's privacy policy applies to the inbox.
- Video: a trailer plays from YouTube in its privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). Nothing loads from YouTube until you press play; after that, YouTube (Google) receives your IP address, may store data on your device, and its own policies apply.
Where your information goes
We are based in Israel. Brevo keeps the mailing list in the European Union. Cloudflare and Google are companies in the United States and may handle information there and in other countries where they operate. The European Union and the United Kingdom recognise Israel as protecting personal data adequately. Transfers to Cloudflare and Google rely on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (and its UK Extension) or on standard contractual clauses, under those companies' own terms.
Cookies and your device
The website itself sets no cookies and runs no analytics. YouTube may set its own cookies, but only after you press play on a trailer. If you use the accessibility menu, your display choices are saved in your browser's local storage on your own device so the next page shows them too; they are never sent to us.
How long we keep it
We keep emails for as long as we need them to deal with your request and any conversation that follows, and then delete them. A newsletter address stays on the list until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove it; after that we keep only the record that you left, so that we never email you again. A sign-up that is never confirmed does not join the list. Cloudflare keeps technical data only for as long as its service needs it.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it - this is also your right under sections 13 and 14 of Israel's Privacy Protection Law, 5741-1981. Where the GDPR applies, you can also ask us to restrict or stop using your information, object to its use, receive the information you gave us in a portable format, and withdraw your consent at any time. Write to contact@charterofcrowns.com; we reply within one month. You can also complain to the data-protection authority where you live or work - in Israel, the Privacy Protection Authority; in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office.
Do Not Track
We do not track visitors across websites, and we do not let others do so through our website, so it works the same whether or not your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal. We do not sell or share personal information.
Children
The website is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you are under 16, please ask a parent or guardian before joining the newsletter. If we learn that we hold a child's information without a parent's permission, we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page when the website changes - for example, when the game's store page goes live. The date at the top shows the latest version.
